I can set my seat at a XC height for climbs and flats, and then drop it for technical downhills and jumps. The remote works great. On several trails I hadn’t ridden before, I would crest a hill to find myself going down a step technical section. I’d push the thumb button and be in perfect position. Meanwhile, my wife would have to stop and manually adjust her seat (she now has one too!) I was concerned it wouldn’t have enough travel, but it seems perfect. Many times I only drop it a bit. It’s also great if I need to mount the bike in a tight section. I can drop the seat, hop on, and raise the seat as I start peddling.
I do clean it after every ride. There are instructions for taking it apart and throughly cleaning it. As it now has a bit of a gritty sound, I’ll be doing that soon. Otherwise, I’ve had no issues with it.
